Improving the U de Chile’s experience: some proposals.

Universidad de Chile is an institution that assemble many people like students, workers and academics, and each year this number increase. Facing this situation, the need of continuous improves is urgent to pleasant the university experience. In this context, to improve the university experience its necessary get better the infrastructure, increase the recreational spaces and stimulate relation into university.

Get better the infrastructure

One of the more important elements to get over the problematic of overpopulation and generate a space more comfortable is improve the infrastructure of Universidad de Chile.

One problem of the infrastructure is the lack of toilets, especially in Juan Gomez Millas campus, where many bathrooms are closed or disabled, generate a crash in the breaks, when circulate more people.

A similar problem happens in lunch time because the canteens aren’t big enough, and also are very little.

Increase recreational spaces

Since the last year until now many constructions have been put up interrupting the daily life, destroying the recreational space, like football field and green areas.

An increase of recreational spaces is important because allow for development of best relations between the different actors in the University and promote other activities beyond the academic learn.

Relations at the University

In the daily of university its common related only with the classmates and more close friends. In this sense, is relevant open the space of relation, contribute to generate communitarian activities between the careers and between different estates.

In conclusion, these three proposals contribute to improve the university experience because it could resolve different problems in daily life at university. In this sense its necessary continue making efforts to get over the present and future problematics.

Free topic: Love for te

Good evening, people, this time is a free topic for choose, so I will write about te, just te;  because I love te and I can't live without it in winter or summer: there is no only season for te.

I start with a little bit of the history of te: a long time ago in 2737 b.C., the chinese imperator Sheng Nung discovered the flavor of te in a daily situation, he was siting sleepy under a bush in his garden, and on his side it was boiling water in a container. When a leaf fall of the bush and touched the boiling water, the imperator tasted the flavor and he loved it. This bush is the Camellia Sinensis.

The chinese people developed this knowledge about the leaf of Camellia and they experimented with the time of prosecution, so today there are four principal kind of te that depends of the driyng of the leaf: black, red, white and green.

Today, the principal countries that produce te are: China,India, Sri Lanka, Taiwán, Japón, Nepal, Australia, Argentina y Kenia. Is the drink most famous after water, and is a healty way to quench the thirst. The consume of te is beneficial for health, especially the green kind, because it contains antioxidant and catequinos with anti inflammatory and neuroprotector characteristics, so it reduce the health risks like strokes, cognitive damage and osteoporosis. 

I like drink te for this positive aspects, but above all for it flavor mixed with differents plants, fruits, and roots. An example: I love black te with cinnamon and ginger; and  I like drink green te with ginger and lemon verbena. In this winter, I can't survive to cold without te, no discussion.

People: drink te, it give you a lot of calm and warm moments.

In this time, I'm going to write about a website that I discovered on facebook, its name is Pijamasurf (pijamasurf.com). This page on internet  have, really a lot of topics interesting: since arts, culture, music until health and politic. So I entertained myself with differents knowledge, an example, the other day I started to listen a  colection of jazz songs that in this webside recomended, it was 149 hours of jazz music, I didn't listen all the songs but I found a lot that I liked. In other situation I read about the musical capacity of the children with autism and I think that is a good form to confront the problems of inclusion of the people with this diagnosis.

The people who works on this webside, they update in every moment about new topics that  can you interest, also this page it has articles with a short extension and large extension, so you can choose what kind of information you want to receive. But I think, sometimes this people publish sensationalist news or articles without a base, although the most of topis are interesting. Tries to read something of this page :) http://pijamasurf.com/

A Book: Alejandra Pizarnik's diaries

Hello classmates and teacher, today although late, I want to tell you about a book what I highly recommend. I starte reading this book, two years ago, and the truth is I have not finished yet, because it is a very intense text, that can not be read in one go, or at least I recommend this;  but it is always present in my life, because I love this argentinian poet: Alejandra Pizarnik. Well, this book  is titled Alejandra Pizarnik's diary, and is a recopilation made for Anna Becciu of the diary who wrote Alejandra  until the day of her death, in 1972, when she committed suicide.
Alejandra Pizarnik is an argentinian writer who wrote poems and prose, with a sensitivity,  an authentic languague and unprecedented creativity. I personally love her poems, that talk about mainly of love, but not about conventional love; also, the feeling she had about death and her perspective of world and people.
This book is a recopilation of different diaries that she wrote in her life, that all it gather fragments of their life linked to language: She said that suffered the language and  without the language, she could not live. Through poetry and letters, she materialized her suffering. Alejandra was diagnosed with borderline disorder and she was admitted to a psychiatric hospital until the day she died of her own hand.
I have read all poems of Alejandra and I dont get tired, I think she could put into words many things that are almost impossible to describe as the certainty of death who she felt in a different way.

An issue

For me, an important issue that must adressing in the list of problems to solve in all states worldwide, even more in Chile, is the inequality between men and women. The historic male chauvinism situated the figure of women under the figure of men, so the inequality is transverse from political aspects to the daily life.

Since we born until we dies, political sexuals labeling our behaviors,  feelings, physical aspects, even our relationships. So, there are not freedom to express the uniqueness without a stigma. Children must learn to behave with a form related with their sexual organs and the society says about the behavior to female and male. But, What's happen with children are not feeling well with society orders about their biological sex? And, What's happen with the little girls who historically learns that they are more weak than little boys? 

When we grow up, this lessons penetrate in our minds and our behaviors adapts to the formal discourse of the sex gender, so it happen to be a normal thing. Is very difficult, sometimes, perceives the subjugation, especially in women who has been expose to discrimination and fear on daily life. 

The state can be work through the Education fundamentally, to fix this issue, because teach about the equality and freedom to be who we want, it can change this situation.

Next presentation: Forensic psychology

Hello classmates and teacher, on this day I will tell you about forensic psychology in Chile.

The forensic psychology is a branch of psichology aplicated to judicial system, particularly in court. In Chile, his aplication has  a high relevance, mostly since the chang of inquisitive system of justice to accusing system. On this new form to use the justice, forensic psychology has taked a big importance for the features of the Criminal Procedural Reform

In december of 2000, its aplicated the reform wih this principal features related to psychology:

1.-There are a separation of the judge's functions to investigate, prosecute, accuse and sentence. The new function of the judge is only sentence.

2.-Now, the trial is oral and public, no write and private like before the reform. So, there are a better transparency in the process

3.- Now, exist the inmediacy law and the relevant law, so in the trial is necessary the figure of the expert in some branch of knowledge, necessary for the sentence of the judge.

On this new form of justice, the figure of the expert forensic psychologist is request....

Post 2, A walk: Cabo Polonio

In september of  2016, I went to Uruguay with nine friends, all women. I would like write about every amazing places that I knew in this country, but I tell you about the Cabo Polonio, the most beautiful land. This is a national park, located in the region of Rocha, in this place there are one of the most important reservations of sea wolfs that lives on the rocks of the beach.

Also, it's found the lighthouse that lights up all the land, is the only light that exist for to illuminate to the people at night, because the Cabo Polonio doesn't have electrical line on the streets, so to see the stars, the moon and the night is a show priceless. Also, this lighthouse was a inspiration for the uruguayan singer Jorge Drexler and his song "Twelve seconds of darkness"; the name of this song refers to the time of darkness since the light of the ligthouse appear until desappear in a same place that you stay in the Cabo.

The calm and kindness of the people in this place is completely relaxing, especially for chileans and santiaguinos used to noise of the city. It was an unforgettable experience that I lived with my friends, is a magic land that everybody should to know.
